Azerbaijan acted as one of the sponsors of "The Day of Beverly Hills" in California. In 2010, the date of September 2nd in U.S. type of writing is equal to the post index of Beverly Hills, which is 9-02-10. That is the reason, why the "Day of Beverly Hills" is being celebrated. It should be noted, that the index was widely advertized in a popular "Beverly Hills 90210" TV series.

The official part of the celebrations was hosted by the mayor of Beverly Hills, Jimmy Delshad, and also the known TV host Larry King. The event itself was fully covered by the american media. Azerbaijan became one of the sponsors of the event, and was represented by the General Consulate in L.A.
