Scandal in Azerbaijan’s football cup final

Last quarterfinalist of the Azerbaijan football cup was to be defined in Inter-Turan match.However, the match at Shafa stadium was not played to the end. Turan refused to enter the second time, motivating the decision with the unfairly counted second goal to Tovuz. Thus, the match was suspended with 2-0 in Inter’s favor.

Turan is to get technical defeat and will be fined seriously, while Inter is to play in the quarterfinal, where they are to meet Khazar-Lankaran. Other quarterfinals will see the matches between Baki and AZAL, Gabala and Karabakh, Kapaz and Neftchi.
