Lankaran to host Masters Weightlifting European Championship 2012

Masters Weightlifting European Championship 2012 will be held in Azerbaijan`s region of Lankaran. A delegation of European Masters Weightlifting Commission visited the region to inspect the preparatory work.

The delegation included secretary of European Masters Committee William Barton and secretary of the doping control commission Mel Burton.

The delegation was accompanied by vice–presidents of Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation Tofig Heydarov and Rizvan Rasulov and Lankaran governor Tofig Ibrahimov.

The delegation praised the preparatory work for the championship, saying Lankaran is ready to host the tournament. The championship will bring together about 600 weightlifters from 34 countries.
