Baku to host wrestling Golden Grand Prix finals

Azerbaijan`s capital will host the finals of the international wrestling Golden Grand Prix commemorating national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The tournament, kicking off next Sunday, will see participation of 500 wrestlers from 31 countries.
The first day of the Grand Prix will feature bouts in the freestyle event, while the second and third days will see competitions in women`s and Greco-Roman events respectively.

The tournament will also feature a workshop and technical meeting of referees. The winners of the tournament will receive $10,000 and their coaches $2,000. Runners-up and third place winners will be awarded $5,000 and $2,000 respectively.

Prior to the start of the tournament its participants will pay tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honors.
