Azerbaijani track and field athletes rank 6th at European championship

Reykjavik hosted the European team championship in athletics in the 3rd league. In the second final day of the competition, Azerbaijani sportsmen became best in four times of performances.

Thus, the first place was honored to Rahib Mammadov (110m with barriers), Ruslan Abbasov (200m), Gezashin Safarova (5000m) and a male relay team (4x4000m). in these series, the Azerbaijani team gained 15 points.

Anar Yusifov (800) ranked 3rd and brought 13 points. The team totally received 377 points and ranked 6th amid 15 teams.

The tickets for the second league were grabbed by Israel (490pts) and Cyprus (469pts) which ranked 1st and 2nd respectively.
