Shirov to replace Hashimov at Biel tournament

Spain`s Alexei Shirov will replace Azerbaijani chess grandmaster Vugar Hashimov in an international tournament in Biel, Switzerland.

Hashimov was called to the national team of Azerbaijan to attend the World Team Championship.

The Biel tournament, to take place next month, will see participation of Norway`s Magnus Carlsen, French Maxim Vachier-Lyagrav, Russian Alexander Morozevich, Italy`s Fabiano Caruana and Swiss Yannick Pelletier.
