Azerbaijani sumo wrestlers to vie for European championship

From May 5 to 9, Bulgarian Varn city will host a European championship in sumo. Head coach of the Azerbaijani team Rufat Ismayilov informed that the country will be presented by 14 wrestlers.

The youth tournament includes Zaur Karimov, Tahir Aliyev (both - 55 kg), Sardar Safikhanov (60 kg), Farid Hajiyev (65 kg), Rasul Eldarzade (90 kg), adults tournament - Samad Ismailov, Farzali Ayralov (both - 60 kg), Kamran Rzayev (70 kg), Namig Sadikhov (85 kg), Amiraslan Akhmedov (100 kg) and elders tournament - Tofig Karimov (70 kg), Kamran Jamilov (85 kg), Rashad Kazimov (85 kg) and Sabuhi Efendiyev (115 kg).

President of Azerbaijani Sumo Federation Samir Abdullayev will also attend the event.
