Lovers of ancient Eastern game will gather at a night club in Blagoveshensk, Russia on Dec. 12. But this time they will meet here for Amur long backgammon tournament. It promises to be an international one. Players of different nationalities will be among the participants, organizers said.
The first Amur backgammon tournament, devoted to the Day of Russian Constitution, is expected to bring together 50-60 participants. Ethnic composition is quite impressive. Besides Russian, Chinese, Koreans, Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis are expected to participate.
Winners of the tournament will be awarded cups, medals and prizes from sponsors.
