Azerbaijan's Mammadov to vie for world blitz chess crown

Azerbaijan's Rauf Mammadov will join some of the world`s highest-ranking grandmasters in a race for the title of the world blitz chess championship.

The tournament will see participation of Vladimir Kramnik, Alexander Grishuk, Sergey Karyagin, Levon Aronyan, Boris Gelfund, Alexey Shirov, Pavel Elyanov, Hikaru Nakamura, Wan Khao, Magnus Carlsen, Ruslan Ponomaryov, Peter Svidler, Maxime Vachier Lagrave, Ian Nepomnyashiy, Boris Grachev and Boris Savchenko.
