Azerbaijan weightlifter becomes world champion

Veterans' World Powerlifting Cup is underway in Chekhanov city of Poland. Azerbaijani weightlifter Akif Aliyev won gold medal in the weight category of 56 kg and age category of M4. The Azerbaijani athlete lifted 177 kg. Russian Niyaz Dautov (162 kg) won silver and Polish Lezhek Vasniovski (137 kg) won bronze medal.
