Azerbaijani  gymnast Aliya Garayeva glad to win bronze at the world championship.

"My opponents were very strong and thats why it's even more honourable to ascend the podium. I practiced a lot before the championship and reached such a result. I would like to thank the fans and all those who supported me. I heard how they were worried about me on the stands, and believe me, it really helps. Our fans are just great. I would like to say thanks to my mentors who trained me to these competitions and believed in me. I would also like to thank our Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation and its president Mehriban Aliyeva. She created all the conditions for our workouts, and I hope we can handle the responsibility entrusted to us", said Garayeva after his performance in an interview with Trend.

On Tuesday the Moscow's Olympic Sports Complex hosted the final exercises with rope and hoop of the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. In the exercises with a hoop, the representative of Azerbaijan Aliya Garayeva ranked the third, gaining 27.650 points.

"To act on the carpet during the final is always difficult. Many things turn out well in training, but most importantly that it turns out well in the final. There are still three days of intense competition and therefore I would not want to summarize. I managed to get into the finals with a hoop and rope. Performance with the hoop was better and I won the bronze, although I know my mistakes, which average audience and even don't see. There is still exercises with the ball and ribbon, and all-around. I'll try my best," said Aliya Garayeva.

Azerbaijani gymnast Aliya Garayeva has gained a bronze medal at the 30th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Moscow.

The Olympic Sports Complex hosted the exercises with rope and hoop in Moscow on Tuesday.. The representative of Azerbaijan Aliya Garayeva performed in both exercises. In the exercises with a hoop, she ranked the third, gaining 27.650 points. Azerbaijani gymnast was able to outperform her rivals from Ukraine and Belarus.

After her performance with a hoop, the Head of Russian Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner, said: "Now I see real Aliya Garayeva. The athlete herself said she is satisfied with her performance, perhaps as long as she was the best at the championship. "I understand that there were blots and errors that can be not visible to the audience. But overall I am happy that I could become a world championship bronze medal in Moscow in exercises with the hoop".
