Azerbaijan judo fighter wins the Grand Prix in Tunisia

The only medal of the team was claimed by Elkhan Mammadov (90 kg). On way to the finals, Mammadov beat Lieu Bujak (Algeria), Nicolas Brisson (France), Lorenzo Bagnoli (Italy) and Murata Gasiev (Russia).

In the finals, Elkhan lost to Japanese Takashi Ono. As a result, Azerbaijani judo fighter won silver medal. Other Azerbaijani athletes Movlud Miraliyev (100 kg), Elmar Gasimov (100 kg) and Emil Tahirov (over 100 kg) finished the Grand Prix without any medals.
