The 16th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship among age categories in Tumbling was held at Baku Gymnastics School on September 22.

The athletes competed in the age category of children (2009-2011), pre-juniors (2005-2008), juniors (2002-2004) and adults (2001 and older).

In the children age category, Maryam Ahadova became first among women, while Rasul Rahimli ranked first among men.

In the age category of pre-juniors, female athlete Zeynab Gasimli and male athlete Adil Hajizade were named the champions of Azerbaijan.

Tofig Aliyev scored the highest point in the junior category and won the championship.

In the age category of adults Mikhail Malkin (2018 European Champion) was the only representative and he again held the title of the Azerbaijan Champion.

The 25th Azerbaijan and Baku championship on acrobatics gymnastics will be held on September 26-27 in the hall of Ojag Sport Club 1, and the 4th Azerbaijani championship and the Baku championship will take place on trampoline gymnastics.

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, which has great experience in holding international events, will organize the World Cup in artistic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, as well as the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup and World Championships in 2019.

Organization of major international gymnastics competitions in Azerbaijan plays a big role in the development of sports in the country and also has a positive impact on the development of sports tourism.
