Azerbaijani gymnast wins bronze at FIG World Cup

Azerbaijani gymnast Marina Nekrasova won bronze in floor exercises of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup in Baku March 19.

Nekrasova scored 12.833 points in the final, leaving Greek gymnast Ioanna Xoulogi behind.

Romanian athlete Catalina Ponor with 13.433 points won gold.

Australian gymnast Emily Little with 13.400 points won silver.

The last day of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku March 19.

The men are competing in vault, pommel horse and horizontal bar finals, while the women - in balance beam and floor finals.

Azerbaijan is represented by Marina Nekrasova in balance beam and floor exercises.

A total of ten sets of medals will be awarded at the competitions.

The FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup finals will end Mar. 19. Gymnasts from 23 countries take part in the FIG World Cup in artistic gymnastics, which is hosted by Azerbaijan for the second time.
