Men’s rings qualification events ended at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup in Baku Mar. 16.
Following the qualification events, Greek gymnasts Eleftherios Petrounias and Konstantinos Konstantinidis, Japanese athletes Kazuyuki Takeda and Shogo Nonomura, Finnish gymnasts Tomi Tuuha and Oskar Kirmes, Ukrainian gymnast Yevgeny Yudenkov and Spanish gymnast Miguel Rayderley Zapata Santana advanced to the finals.
Azerbaijani gymnast Bence Talas scored 13.066 and ranked tenth. He became the second reserve gymnast in the finals.
The first day of the new Olympic cycle’s first FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku March 16 and will continue until March 19.
Athletes from 23 countries perform at the World Cup, hosted by the Azerbaijani capital for the second time.
Qualifications will be held on the first two days of the event followed by the Apparatus Finals on last two days.
