Azerbaijani karate fighters shine in Turkey [PHOTO]

The 30th International Bosphorous Karate Tournament has wrapped up in Istanbul. The tournament  brought together 1,502 karatekas from 25 countries.

Azerbaijani karate fighters have brought home a clutch of 19 medals, including 6 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze, goal.az reported.

Firodvsi Farzaliyev (60 kq),Niyazi Aliyev (67 kq), Rafael Aghayev (75 kq),Aykhan Mamayev (84 kq), Asiman Qubanl? (+84 kq) and Rovshan Aliyev (kata) became the winners of the tournament.

The second place went to Tural Agalarzadeh (67 kq), Shahin Atamov (+84 kq)  and Ismayil Quliyev (kata).

Farid Savadov ( 11 years old, 35 kg), Huseyn Mammadli (13 years old, 55 kq),Hasan Aliyev (16-17 years old, 55 kq), Samir Mammadov (75 kq),Orkhan Heyderli (+84 kq), Tural Balcanl? (kata), Nurana Aliyeva (50 kq), Farida Abiyeva (61 kq) as well as team fighters Ilahe Qasimova, Farida Abiyeva and Nurana Aliyeva kumi fighters, Tural Balcanl? and ?smay?l Quliyev kata fighters  won bronze.

Azerbaijan ranked the second in medal count.

The National Karate Federation of Azerbaijan was established in 1994. Since 1997, the National Federation became a full member of WKF (World Karate Federation), the world's largest karate organization that unites more than 50 million members of the 180 countries of the world.
