The fact that representatives of the European Union of Gymnastics are observing the competitions of the 14th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling, means that Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation is becoming one of the best in the world, Natalya Bulanova, competitions' director from LOC (Local Organizing Committee), told Trend Nov. 8.

“We always try to organize even the national championships in accordance with global standards,” Bulanova, who is also a coach of the Azerbaijani Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team, said.

She went on to add that the conditions created in Azerbaijan for young trampoline tumblers give children a chance to show good results in the future.

“I am very happy that the National Gymnastics Arena of Azerbaijan, one of the best halls in the world, is hosting the competitions of the 14th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling,” she noted. “Our children prepare to become champions in the future by performing on such arenas.”

“Trampoline gymnastics is a young kind of sport in Azerbaijan, but I see children who have made a lot of progress since last year,” Bulanova added. “I think that our young people have every chance for success in the future, and I want the flag of Azerbaijan to be raised at the competitions, and, of course, I want our anthem to be played more often.”

The second day of the 23rd Baku Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics, as well as the 14th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling kicked off in Baku Nov. 8.

Over 30 tumblers are representing the Baku Gymnastics School and the Ojag Sport club at the event.
