IBA, Juventus Football Club sign cooperation agreement

The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) and one of the world’s most famous football clubs, Juventus, signed a cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony was attended by Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Giampaolo Cutillo, Head of Global Partnerships and Corporate Revenues at Juventus Giorgio Ricci, Juventus Legends president David Trezeguet and J-Academy sporting director Gianluca Pessotto, as well as representatives of AFFA and the management of Inter Football Club.

Deputy CEO and CFO IBA Ulvi Mansurov informed guests about the main perspectives of this partnership. He mentioned that the agreement will see the IBA and the Italian Football Club collaborate in a series of activities within Azerbaijan beginning with the opening of a new Juventus Academy based at the Inter Arena in Baku.

The Academy’s main purpose will be to facilitate the growth of youth football in the country and aid in improving the infrastructure already in place at the Inter Football Club. Collaborating with Juventus Football Club – a name recognized the world over – also presents an excellent opportunity to promote the IBA’s products and services internationally.

Cutillo told guests that partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy expands day by day and this agreement will deepen cooperation between the countries in the cultural sphere.

Ricci informed guests about the importance of new regional partnerships for Juventus. He also emphasized, that Juventus is proud to be working in a country of great potential such as Azerbaijan and to collaborate with an organization as prestigious as the International Bank of Azerbaijan.

Other representatives of Juventus Football Club mentioned that this project is aimed at facilitating the growth of youth football in the country and improving the infrastructure of the game in Azerbaijan.

After the signing, the guests participated in the opening ceremony of a new J-Academy based at the Inter Arena in Baku.
