Romania to host European Junior Wrestling Championships

The European Junior Wrestling Championships will start tomorrow in Romania.

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers Azer Nasibli at 50kg weight class, Nofel Babayev at 55kg, Mikayil Rahmanov at 60kg, Sanan Suleymanov at 66kg, Mehraj Karimov at 74kg, Islam Abbasov at 84kg, Soslan Fanziyev at 96kg and Adem Jalilov at 120kg will be in action on the first day of the tournament.

Junior Azerbaijani female wrestlers Zelfira Alakbarli at 44kg weight category, Sona Tumarkhanova at 48kg, Sabina Hamzalzada at 51kg, Shabnam Ahmadova at 55kg and Elis Manolova at 67kg will compete on June 23-24.

The country’s freestyle wrestlers Aliabbas Rzazade at 50kg weight class, Mahir Amiraslanov at 55kg, Ali Rahimzade at 60kg, Fazil Hasanov at 66kg, Murad Suleymanov at 74kg, Hajimurad Mahammadsaidov at 84kg, Mahammadrasul Gazimahammadov at 96kg and Alimagomed Alikhmoyev at 120kg will vie for medals on last two days of the tournament.

The European Championship will last till June 26.
