Belarusian female athlete Anna Gorchenok told Trend March 5 that she will be very happy to win gold medal at the FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics in Baku.
She said that she is very happy with her performance.
“Despite the fact that it was quite hard to perform in the morning, I think I was able to show what I wanted to,” Gorchenok said. “We will try to compete for gold in the finals.”
The female athlete added that she will be happy to win a gold medal in Baku.
“It will be difficult, since there are very strong opponents in the finals, but this is the World Cup, and it can’t be the other way around here.”
Anna Gorchenok took the first place having scored 102.160 points as a result of the qualification event.
The FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
Athletes from Europe, Japan, Australia and the US are participating in the World Cup, which opens the first season of the Olympic competitions.
Overall, 77 gymnasts (46 men and 31 women), who represent 17 countries, are to participate in the competitions.
Following the first day of the qualification event, the competitions will complete by finals on March 6.
