Azerbaijan Cycling Federation awarded

Azerbaijan Cycling Federation has been awarded with a special diploma during the annual event held by the "Ireli" Social Union.

The prize was handed to the Secretary General of the Cycling Federation of Azerbaijan, Farhad Aliyev, for the federation's successful and collaborative support with the "Ireli" Social Union in 2015 on project in development of the youth policy and stimulation of the youth activity.

As the result of the care and support in sports in the country over the last few years the national athletes have so far increased the number of medals. Beyond doubt, there is a tremendous role of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, due to which the progress of Azerbaijan's cyclists have many times resounded in international races.

Understanding its commitments since its establishment the Federation has formed an up-to-date system to meet all requirements. Although the Federation is too young, but the achievements and the projects that have been put in practice still to give a better result.

One of the main commitments standing as a priority for the Cycling Federation is to establish new cycling schools and clubs across Azerbaijan's provinces, as well as stimulating the young generation into loving the sport.

The programme of the talented Azerbaijani cyclists is one of the successful projects that has been designed by the Federation, which to prepare tough athletes for European and World championships for which the cyclists always dream and struggle to be winner.

Currently, there many sports clubs and schools to run for developing the cycling sport in the country, which receive both material and moral supports from the Federation.

Established in 1984, the Reserved Olympic and Specialized Youth Cycling Sport Club is one of the schools in Azerbaijan that has brought up a number of experienced cyclists, many of whom have had a tremendous role in the country's cycling sport.
