Azerbaijan`s Mammadov wins European Blitz Chess Championship 2015

Azerbaijani grandmaster Rauf Mammadov has become the new European Blitz Champion by defeating Russian Vladimir Belous with 2-0 in the final round.

Mammadov scored 18 points, the same as Russian grandmaster Boris Savchenko, who defeated Sergey Zhigalko with the same result, but thanks to better tie-break gold went to Mammadov. The bronze medal went to Alexander Riazantsev from Russia with 17 points.
