National taekwondo fighters bring 14 medals from Turkey

The second European Clubs Taekwondo Championships was held in Antalya, Turkey on November 25-26.

The event brought together 651 taekwondo fighters from 33 countries. Azerbaijan was represented by 53 sportsmen from the seven national clubs.

Successfully participating in the championships, the national taekwondo fighters gained 14 medals.

The gold medal winners among men became Ilham Aliyev at 45 kg, Kamil Abdulrazagov (59kg), Zalimkhan Rasulov (63kg). Ilayda Kardelen (44kg) and Gulkhanim Esildal (55) took the first places among women.

Other six national sportsmen took the bronze medals.

Azerbaijani “Neftchi” club became the second in the men’s competition, while in the women’s one “Gilan” club placed the second.

Following Azerbaijani will also take part in the Turkish Open Taekwondo Tournament , which will be held in Turkey on November 28-30.
