Azerbaijani grandmaster claims title in Czech Republic

Azerbaijani grandmaster Nijat Mammadov has become the winner of Open Teplice 2013 international chess tournament in the Czech Republic.

He secured the title after scoring 7 pts thanks to a last round draw against Germany`s Sebastian Plischki.

The tournament brought together 18 grand masters and 158 chess players from 16 countries.

The Swiss system tournament featured 9 rounds.
