Akkord Corporation awards country’s strongest kick-boxers - PHOTOS

Sports Club Golden Glove becomes a champion.

The 19th Kickboxing Championship was held in the Olympic-Sports Complex Sarkhadchi (Frontiersman) among cadets and males on April 26-28. The championship was organized by the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Up to 400 sportsmen representing 40 urban and district teams took part in the Championship. According to the results of the elimination round, the best sportsmen on 12 weight categories competed in the final round. Akkord Corporation, which always excelled in support for sports development in the country, had announced about the establishment of special prizes and allowances for the Championship winners.

The championship that passed in conditions of tense contest ended up with a grandiose victory of the championship favorite - Sports Club Golden Glove. Having won 7 golden medals, the Sports Club Golden Glove took the first position among competing teams and once again demonstrated its strong sports and coaching potential in this type of sport. Sports and Health Center Neftchi and the Sports Community of the Ministry of Internal Affairs shared the second and third positions respectively.

Adil Aliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation and a Parliament Deputy, highly assessed the support that Akkord Corporation lends to kick-boxers.

A prize presentation ceremony was held following the outcomes of the contests. Special prizes and money gifts from Akkord Corporation were given to sportsmen.
