Azeri canoeists reach Olympic final - UPDATE

Azerbaijan’s duo Maksim Prokopenko and Sergiy Bezugliy took part in the men`s canoe double (C2) 1000m at the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. They successfully coped with the task of showing the result in 3:32.048 and reached the final.

 In the men`s canoe double (C2) 1000m at the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, rivals of Maksim Prokopenko and Sergiy Bezugliy pair will be Nelson Henriques- Fortunato Pacavira (Angola), Serguey Torres- Jose Carlos Bulnes (Cuba), Liviu Dumitrescu-Lazar- Victor Mihalachi (Romania), Andrei Bahdanovich- Aliaksandr Bahdanovich (Belarus) and Erlon Silva- Ronilson Oliveira (Brazil).

The round will be held on Tuesday. Valentin Demyanenko will row against Sebastian Marczak (Australia), Naoya Sakamoto (Japan), Ronilson Oliveira (Brazil), Mathieu Goubel (France), Andrzej Jezierski (Ireland) and Jason Mccoombs (Canada) in men`s canoe single (C1) 200m.
