When Tofig Bahramov Stadium will be opened? - PHOTOS

The reconstruction work in the Tofig Bahramov Stadium is close to completion.  Stadium Director Akif Ismayilov reported that the work, excluding lawn and running track, is expected to be completed by early April 2012. “By this time, the roof of the stadium and seats will be completely finished. However, yet  some problems occurred in regard of preparing lawn and running track, as technique works in the center of the stadium and it’s impossible to lay lawn here.”

He noted that the number of seats in the stadium will be 31 ,000 compared to 29,700 seats previously. A heating system under the field and new lighting system will be installed at the stadium. The entire work will be completed in June.  It is expected that the matches in the qualifying tournament of the Azerbaijani Championship – 2014 will be mainly held here.
