Dario Simic arrives in Baku

Today a well-known player, a veteran footballer from Croatia Dario Simic  who played for Dinamo Zagreb and Internazionale and Milan (Italy) as well as AS Monaco (France) and won FIFA World Cup bronze medals in 1998 for Croatian national team arrived to Baku to support the 2012 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan.

AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov has met Dario Simic today in AFFA headquarters. During the meeting, they spoke about women’s football in Azerbaijan. After the meeting, Simic was presented a carpet with a logo of FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 on it.

In addition, FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 Local Organising Committee selected Šimi? a friend of the competition. During his visit to Azerbaijan Dario Simic will attend events connecting with the women’s football and watch the friendly matches between Azerbaijan U17 Women’s and Georgian U17 Women’s in Dalga Arena in AFFA Football Centre playing today and on 4 March.
