Perpetual rain causes problems in north-western regions of Azerbaijan

A perpetual rain caused a number of problems in the north-western regions of Azerbaijan.

The water level has increased in the mountain rivers. Balaken region executive power said the water level has risen in Katekh, Balaken, Humbul and Mazim rivers.

The yards of several houses in Poshbine village, sown areas in Hanifa and Katekh villages have been flooded.

The water level has risen in Tala, Mukhakh, Bekmez, Makekh, Gilban rivers in Zagatala, sown areas have been flooded. A number of auxiliary farms are in danger of collapse as a result of the overflow of Gilban river.

The situation is similar in Gakh region. The water level has risen in Laki river, Laki village has lost contact with the center of the region.

Electricity has been cut off in some settlements.

The local emergency situations commissions are taking measures to eliminate the consequences, assess the amount of damage.
