Azerbaijan traffic police: Cargo transportation violations reduced after warning drivers

The number of violations of cargo transportation rules was reduced after the last warning, made to drivers, the Head of the Main Traffic Police Department Kamran Aliyev said.

He said that there is progress in observance of cargo transportation rules after urging drivers to make changes in vehicle constructions to put them in order until May 1 in accordance with the norms set by the manufacturing plant.

Aliyev said the number of such vehicles reduces day by day.

He said most of the trucks have already put in order in accordance with the norms set by the manufacturing plant.

"Physical and legal entities ignoring this warning will be severely punished," Aliyev said.

He said that according to the Code of Administrative Offences, physical entities will be fined in the amount of 30-50 manat for violation of this rule, officials- 150-200 manat, legal entities - 1,500-2,000 manat.

A few days ago the Interior Ministry and the Transport Ministry called for strict observance of cargo transportation rules. Individuals, including legal and physical entities engaged in cargo transportation, as well as drivers should put their vehicles in order in accordance with the norms set by manufacturing plant.
