Over 80% of Baku residents support Ilham Aliyev

The majority of Baku residents support Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, according to the results of an opinion poll conducted by the "Rey" (Opinion) monitoring centre.

If presidential elections were held next Sunday, majority of Baku residents (83%) would vote for Ilham Aliyev, according to the opinion poll.

About 65% of residents said there was no alternative to Ilham Aliyev as president. The poll interviewed 850 respondents at and over the age of 18.
