Member of Pardon Commission under Azerbaijani President: Pardon decree is not expected yet

The meeting of the Pardon Commission in connection with pardoning of a group of prisoners on occasion of Novruz Holiday has not been held yet.

Member of Pardon Commission under Azerbaijani President, MP Azad Guliyev told journalists that there is not an official decision about when the president will issue decree of pardoning a group of prisoners:

"There is no concrete opinion and official decision in this regard yet. The meeting of the Pardon Commission has not been held as well. I can not say what will the decision be. It is the exceptional authority of the president. As of information so far, I can say that pardon decree is not expected yet".
