Ombudsman receives US ambassador in Azerbaijan

Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova received US ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza, press service of Ombudsman’s Office told APA.

The Ombudsman noted the importance of continuation of mutual relations with the US embassy in human rights sphere and defined priorities of future cooperation. In turn, Matthew Bryza said that Azerbaijani Ombudsman operated productively in the sphere of human right defense, she had rich practice, and that, he was interested in mutual opinion and information exchange with her.

He took interest in main directions of Commissioner's activity, her activity realized in direction of monitoring of ensuring rights of imprisoned Eynulla Fetullayev, as well as Bakhtiyar Hajiyev. His questions were responded in detail.
