The Azerbaijani mobile operator Azerfon (trademark Nar Mobile) intends to invest $15 million in improving infrastructure, Chief Executive Officer of Azerfon LLC Jurgen Peetz said today in Baku.
He said that these funds will be spent on work to improve signal reception. All work is expected to be carried out during 2011.
Peetz expressed hope that a significant improvement in the communication signal will be marked by September-October.
Peetz said that without investments and carrying out work to improve infrastructure, one cannot improve the quality of services rendered to subscribers.
At present, Azerfon’s coverage hits 80%, while the number of subscribers is 1.7 million.
