Caucasus Muslims Board: Only two food producers observe Halal standard in Azerbaijan

Only two food producers manufacture food observing Halal standard in Azerbaijan. One of them is SAB and the second is Halal Gida in Ganja, head of press service of the Caucasus Muslims Board Rahima Dadashova said.

According to her, the companies applied to CMB to operate in accordance to Halal standard.

"CMB commission has monitored the process there. When the commission was sure that they use halal meat it gave license to operate in accordance to halal standard. About pork fat, I can say that, we are informed about using chicken skin and components prepared from seaweed. The commission controls the companies periodically”.
