Azerbaijan student admission commission chief announces Azerbaijani universities' rating list

As many as 5,424 applicants attending admission examinations last year scored more than 500 points while 1,414 scored more than 600, said Chairwoman of the State Student Admission Commission Maleyka Abbaszade at a press conference on Tuesday.

In 71 regions of the country, including the cities of Baku, Nakhchivan and Sumgayit, as well as the regions of Ordubad, Ismayilli and Gakh, the students gained high points.

6-8 of every 100 applicants gained high marks in the examinations in these regions. Most of them were admitted to the leading universities of the country.

Abbaszade said Public Administration Academy under the President of Azerbaijan led the list of the universities. It is followed by the Azerbaijan State Medical University, Caucasian University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and Azerbaijan Tourism Institute. The highest points (650-675) were scored by the students who applied for the Management School of the Public Administration Academy.

The lowest points (200) were gained by the students who applied for the National Aviation Academy and Ganja State University.
