Azerbaijan develops investment project to boost pre-school education

Azerbaijan will build new kindergartens. A new investment project aimed at developing pre-school education Azerbaijan is developed and the process is underway on collecting information on buildings, kindergartens, which are in disrepair, the Azerbaijani Education Ministry told Trend.

The monitoring carried out by the Education Ministry's Preschool Education Sector revealed that the country's several regions lack kindergartens. To solve this problem, the Ministry has developed a new investment program.

Alternative centers in addition to the construction of new kindergartens will be created. Such a pilot center is already opened in the Khatai district of Baku. Compared with the kindergartens, the center does not provide lunch and sleep. During a three-hour stay in such institutions, children develop communication skills, logical thinking, work skills, acquire knowledge and skills necessary to complete the transition to school. The Ministry's employees are also working with teachers who want to work in these institutions.

There are 1,635 pre-schools in Azerbaijan, out of which 1,571 are in the competent of the ministry.
