“All taxi cabs will be changed in Azerbaijan within a year according to the new standards. Their coloring will also be finalized this year”, chairman of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent Ramiz Hasanov told journalists.

He said they conducted daily inspection of petrol quality. “There are some infringements. Some fuel stations in rural areas sell AI93 instead of AI95”, said Hasanov.

The committee chairman said new laboratory would be built in Azerbaijan to control gas emissions. “We are planning to open laboratories in the regions as well, including Lankaran, Sumgayit and Salyan. New metrology laboratory was built in Ganja. Oil-chemistry and gasometry laboratory are constructed in Sumgayit”.
