50% of Azerbaijan's population use global net

Access to the broadband Internet averages 12 percent, the indicator which prevails over the world indices by 2 times. In the latest 2 years, the Internet prices have become cheaper by 10 times, the Statistics say.

The IT sector has become by 5 times larger in the last 6 years, with a yearly growth rate of 30-32 percent, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies said.

This is by 3 times more than the world indices.
