Baku to host training courses for social workers

Baku Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Teachers will host a scientific workshop on December 24 following a conference on outcomes of the 2010 State program on de-institutionalization and alternative care for orphan children.

The workshop will be attended by representatives of various local and foreign organizations and international experts.

The workshop aims to discuss alternative care and protection for children as part of preparations for social worker training courses. In the 2010-211 school year, 9-month training courses will be held for teachers so that they will be able to work as social workers for 16 children's homes.
