Believers attack secondary school in Azerbaijan

He said about 20 believers attacked secondary school No. 103 in Khojasan settlement in Binagadi district of Baku. They broke the windows of the school and said they did it to protest against the hijab ban at school. The believers wrote a warning and pasted on the door threatening that they will burn the school if the hijab ban is not lifted.

Bayramov said he has informed the law-enforcement bodies about the incident and the police have started a probe.

“The law-enforcement bodies have started investigation. Binagadi district police office has sent policemen to secure the school,” he said.

According to Bayramov, about 1,000 schoolgirls wearing hijab at schools in the capital. Half of them have refused to wear hijab as a result of the recent ban.
