A brutal murder has been committed in Baku. Forensic experts have counted 31 stab wounds on body of 31-year-old Ilgar Aslanov, resident of country's Agdam region, pathologist Zahid Huseynov said.
Majority of penetrating stab wounds were inflicted to the chest, abdomen and throat. At present, the forensic examination is carried out to detect involvement of two persons in the murder. It is suspected that the knife blows could have been inflicted simultaneously by two killers.
In the meantime, employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of Police Chief Office of Baku and the 5th district police department of Binagadi district have arrested resident of Jeyranbatan settlement Shirali Hajiyev.
The murder was motivated by matters of honor and dignity, the police say.
"The detainee said during interrogation that he caught Aslanov and his relative together during a secret date, near the house. Prior to that, Aslanov has already been warned to stop meeting Hajivev's relative. He did not listen, however," said the policeman.
Reportedly, the suspect has pleaded guilty. Hajiyev, reportedly, does not have any criminal record before this detainment.
