Azerbaijani border guards detain 99 people wanted by police

Azerbaijani border guards have detained 99 people wanted by police. Detainees were transferred to law enforcement agencies, the State Border Service (SBS) told Trend.  

In November, attempts to violate the state border, during which 27 people were detained, were prevented in 17 cases.

Some 17 of 27 peoples, who violated the state border, are citizens of Azerbaijan, three - Iranian citizens, three - Georgia, three - Russia and a Pakistani citizen.

In November, in 20 cases the border guards seized about six kilograms of narcotic substances from illicit trafficking. Also, smuggling in the amount of 246,857 manat, was seized in 73 cases.
