Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Education will address Tariff (price) Council for increase of tuition fee on state-run specialties, Education Minister Misir Mardanov told journalists, APA reports.
To him, annual tuition fee on state-run specialties must be higher than tuition fee at private higher schools: “Both people and universities should be interested in these specialties. Because income of universities will be higher as long as number of students entered the state-run specialties increase”.
Mardanov said that higher schools acted by basing on voluntariness principle in the independent financing mechanism: “Some universities may participate in the process and some may not. It depends on realization method of this process by our government. There is not compulsion principle here”.
