Azerbaijan Prosecutor General's Office has launched criminal case against officials over illegal transplant of human organs in Azerbaijan.

An official statement has already been made public about it. Investigation is underway,” chief of the Department to Combat Human Trafficking of the Interior Ministry Javad Shikhaliyev said.

Asked whether somebody was detained over the fact, the department chief did not say anything, as the matter is strictly confidential.
