Kamaladdin Heydarov: Azerbaijan to face no grain shortage in any state of crisis

The State Grain Fund of Ministry of Emergency Situations reviews the construction project of new grain elevator, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov said.

According to him, the elevator with capacity of 100 000 tons of grain has already been launched in Sangachal. In Nakhchevan AR, an elevator with the capacity of 30 000 tons of grain has been launched.

“The 60 000 tons-elevator in Ganja will be launched after a month. Besides, 100 000 tons-elevator is planned to be constructed. Generally, MES elevators will be able to save 290 000 tons of grain. This means that, no grain and bread shortage will be observed during any state of crisis in Azerbaijan. The country will be provided with the bread for a long time.

Minister noted that, elevators will save high quality grain. He also noted that, the Ministry of Economic Development also finances the construction of grain storages. After launch of these storages, no problems will be observed at the saving of local and imported grain in Azerbaijan.
