Azerbaijan to acquire time standard next year

“National Etalon Center has already started functioning in Azerbaijan. Some parts of equipment for this center have been brought from Georgia”, said Chairman of State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan Ramiz Hasanov.

According to him, time standard of Azerbaijan will be acquired next year: “Acquisition of time standard will allow moving to a system of single time across the country. Inexistence of time standard in Azerbaijan creates some problems for the time being”.

Hasanov stated that some standards had already been determined: “For instance, there are even standards in construction, transport and colors of taxis. We will continue to work on other fields as well”.
