Minister of youth and sports of Azerbaijan visits Strasbourg

On December 8 the minister of youth and sports of Azerbaijan Republic Azad Rahimov at the initiative of CE Secretary on sports has come with a working visit to Strasbourg for the purpose of carrying out of exchange by views on the informal conference which have passed in Baku of the ministers of sports of CE member countries, permanent mission of Azerbaijan at the Council of Europe said.

This question has been included in the agenda of one of the sessions of Committee of CE representatives.

The minister in his statement in Committee of representatives has informed participants of session on results of the conference passed in Baku, expressed his opinion of prevention of the facts of contractual matches, deliveries to sportsmen of visas, the European cooperation in the field of sports, etc.

In the frame of visit Rahimov has met the CoE Deputy Secretary General Ms. Bucciccio. At the meeting focused on was cooperation development between ÑoÅ and Azerbaijan in various spheres. The minister has informed on the informal conference of ministers of sports of CE member countries passed in Baku. The parties had exchange of views under the decisions adopted at conference.

The minister accompanied by CE director for youth and sports R. Weingarten has familiarized with CE youth center. The director thanked for the voluntary financial assistance allocated in 2008 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan together with a number of the countries on repair of the center, at amount of 20 thousand Euros.
