Husband axes wife, then jumps out of the window in Baku

A serious family drama has occurred in Sabail district of Baku. 60-year-old Vusal Efendiyev hit his wife Gulnara Efendiyeva, 41, on her head with an axe, during a quarrel.

After the hit, supposing the wife is dead, Efendiyev jumped out of the window, from the 3rd floor. He died on the spot, from the received injuries. His wife survived however, and was taken to the hospital.

A criminal case has been launched under article 125 of the Criminal Code (incitement to suicide).
