Statistics of car accident victims released in Azerbaijan

Statistics of those killed and injured in road accidents across Azerbaijan during ten months of 2010 has been released. During this period, 755 people were killed and 2,292 got injured in 2,194 accidents across Azerbaijan, Spokesperson for the General Directorate of State Traffic Police Kamran Aliyev said.
 
Citizens of Azerbaijan died and got injured in pedestrian accidents, collisions of cars due to inattention, unruly driving and speeding, Aliyev added.
 
A total of 265 people were killed and 655 received injuries in 848 pedestrian accidents. As many as 258 people were killed and 1,063 people got injured in 794 cases of collision of vehicles while 393 people were killed and 835 were killed in 940 car accidents respectively, the spokesperson noted.
